What is the difference between ordinary Natrol melatonin and release time?

My doctor recommended to me, but did not say whether to get just the release of melatonin or time. Could someone please help me?

(Remember that 1000 micrograms in a milligram, so do not overdo it.) Take it at dinnertime. Sleeping with the lights off and in a quiet room. I seriously doubt that this would be the target if not specify how to take, however.
