Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunt. The basics of it are the following: Someone hides a container on public land, gives the coordinates, and other go looking for him. The container (called Inbox) can be any size, only an inch or so until the big ammunition containers size. They have to be weather resistant and preferably waterproof. The container usually contains a log book (for registered hunters have discovered the "cache") and often small trinkets (stickers, key chains, toys, etc.) to trade.

In geocaching, the real joy is the adventure in the way of finding one geocache. Often the geocachers to take a unique, interesting landscapes or a story behind the location. Many times the trip includes excursions through forest or rough terrain. In all cases, it is best to be well prepared, and I would like to offer an extensive list of elements that will be useful for any geocachers in an adventure.

First and foremost, you need a GPS receiver. (While it is possible to program the coordinates into the navigation system of a vehicle, a device hand is far preferable.) is a good idea to have spare batteries with you. The use of low battery can actually distort and lend precision to the difficulty in find the hidden cache.

A first aid kit is also essential. Preparing for the worst, they always say. There are many dangers out there, so as minor irritants that can be easily treated with the use of elements found in a well-stocked first aid kit. Several other articles on care same general include sunscreen (do not forget SPF lip balm, too) and insect repellent (preferably one that repels ticks and other).

Other supplies should include water, rain ponchos, extra socks (even a pair of shoes does not hurt), and a flashlight (forests can obscure even during the day). Some sources refer to the maintenance geocaches themselves. Although the cache owner is strictly necessary to keep the memory cache, sometimes those find the cache can lend a hand. It's a good idea to have a supply of books for registration (to replace full or damaged), pens or pencils extra, and even storage bags or containers cache. It is always a good idea to notify the cache owner if maintenance is done or remains necessary.

Another great part of geocaching is CITO, or "cached, garbage." Many geocachers are passionate about protecting and preserving the environment. Some of caching trips can be taken through contaminated areas with litter and debris. It can be a great idea to take the trash bags along with you and help clean up the otherwise natural areas beautiful.

In their own geocaching experiences, find what works best for their own supplies, these are only my suggestions from my own experience of the last four years of geocaching. It's a good idea to regularly check your supplies, particularly at the beginning of each season. The expiry dates on items like sunscreen and insect repellent. Replace any items that need replacing and maintaining well-stocked bag. You can have a bag or whole backpack with supplies just for geocaching, so always be ready to go a find.

The most important part is the part of Geocaching more fun – the adventure of the cache. Having adequate supplies only guarantees that you will have a great time. Happy Caching!
